Look at things in a different light

I recently released my first film. I actually started working on this film many months ago by filming clips of all kinds of things. Some scenes were staged but others not. When I was filming all of this footage I didn’t have any software with which to edit. Low and behold craigslist had great Macbook that came with Final Cut Pro X!

I was just about done editing the film but I thought I should challenge myself in some way because this film was more about me learning to use Final Cut Pro. So I added audio of a typewriter, a dog barking, a car engine, and clanging utensils on top of the original sounds from the footage (each sound used will be listed below.  Here is what all the extra audio looked like in Final Cut:

When I was done editing and ready to upload to Youtube I found that my film looked distorted on Youtube that lead me to read tons of forums only to find out there is nothing I could do to fix it!  I read that Vimeo quality was better which I considered it to be factual but judge for yourself… you can watch both listed below. The first scene for Vimeo is different because, I didn’t really like how it started on the Youtube version.

Let me know what you think of either video.

Another video will be released soon! So check out my Instagram page for updates on the release date… and lots more coming soon!
