I always love working with the Olivia Barnes Band; they’re such an amazing group who truly care about the music they're creating—definitely an all-timer in my book! These photos were taken during their show down at Siberia on St. Claude in New Orleans. We also took a few group photos after the gig, and I especially love the one of them all laughing, leaning against the bus stop sign.
A few nights later, I spotted Olivia over at Saturn for the Planet of the Little Green Men show. We got to chatting about her concert and how awesome those pictures came out. I let her know that her music has a permanent spot on all my playlists; she’s on her way to becoming one of the greats. The sounds she creates in Lilith's Smile are in a class of their own y'all should seriously check out her music. And as always, I’m looking forward to her next release—and, of course, the next concert! That right there is what I love about NOLA: you can be in one place and run into so many people when you least expect it!
